Boston Sword & Tuna is a premier distributor of high-end, wild-caught East Coast Halibut, also known as Atlantic Halibut. (Hippoglossus Hippoglossus). Halibut are flat fish that range in size from 10-300 lbs with most fish in the 10/50 and 50/85 lb graded size. Along with whole fish, BST offers a hand cut halibut fillet and/or steak cut to order every day.
These fish are caught along the ocean floor by long-line fishermen throughout the entire Canadian maritime in a government certified sustainable fishery. We also source from the cold waters of Alaska when the season opens. The fish are headed and gutted on board and packed with ice to maintain the highest quality possible. Our experienced buyers have numerous suppliers from all over to keep halibut available year round!
However, it is vital to BST that we strictly work with well managed fisheries who abide by quota systems and are good ocean stewards across the board.
